I am a researcher, writer, and broadcaster on Britain and East-Central Europe. I have just finished my PhD on literature and political imagination, focusing on depictions of Poland in English literature, at Cambridge, and write and broadcast regularly on the region for the British and international press.
I have written for The Sunday Times, The Independent, The New Statesman, The i Paper, The Telegraph, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Newsweek, Notes from Poland, Euronews and other media, covering the history, politics, and culture of the region. I have also presented a programme for BBC Radio 3 and provided commentary for BBC World Service and The Guardian.
